Church Members signed their good wishes on the wooden wall hanging made by Bob Martin which was then presented to the McLaughlin's for their new home.
Two of our most beloved members, Jim and Pat McLaughlin, will soon be moving to El Paso to be closer to family.  We will miss them very much.  Both have served as Elders ( Pat as a deacon also).  She has taught Sunday School and Jim sang in the choir.  Jim has served Smithville in the Community Clinic and Pat has worked at Born Again Emporium.  Both have volunteered for many events at our church - including working at various fundraisers, helping with social events such as our Bingo Night, cookbook sale, and raising money for the new Church sign.  Jim has participated in skits, playing guitar and bagpipes in some events!  Always willing to help, hosting events at their home, and  bringing new ideas (remember the dinner with no utensils?).
Our loss is certainly El Paso's gain!  May God grant them safe travels and many blessings in their new home.
