Pastor Kris Brown and her family:
Meet the Browns:
Our pastor, Kris Brown, received her M.Div. from Austin Presbyterian Theological Seminary in 2016. In addition, she holds an M.A. and Ph.D. from Rice University, and, in a former life, taught English. She dearly loves teaching. In 1994, she helped her husband David begin Community Clinical Research, a mental health clinic dedicated to research toward more effective treatments for mental illness, especially for schizophrenia.
She and David have two sons, Henry and Alex. Their family also, at the present time, includes four dogs, two cats, eight horses, and two donkeys. Kris, David, Henry, and Alex love to spend time at their farm in McDade as well as to travel together. They all appreciate very much being part of the First Presbyterian Church-Smithville family.
