Children's Ministry
First Presbyterian Church of Smithville Sunday School meets at 9:45 a.m. with classes for the Pre-K, Intermediate, and Elementary/Junior High age levels. These classes have Bible lessons, crafts, Bible games, and refreshments between Sunday school and worship service. Singing is a big part of the Sunday school program at FPC. The older age children also participate with the adult choir.
Once a month the children have a vist from the puppets of our youth ministry during Time for the Children in the 11:00 service. A favorite with the children, it is a unique way to bring the bible message to the children in a manner that is both fun and meaningful.
The Sunday school children collect can tabs to donate to the Ronald McDonald House and they are active in helping with Church worship by being acolytes and Chiming the Hour for worship.
Confirmation Class is offered by Pastor Jane Johnson for the elementary and junior high students. Call the church office for additional information (512-360-5231).

The 2011 Children's Musical - "The Story Tellin' Man"
Each year the church hosts a week-long vacation bible school and music camp. At the end of the week the children put on two performances of the musical, Saturday evening and at the Sunday morning service. This year the Sunday performance was on Father's Day, June 19th.
